**Thank you so much for your generosity, I never imagined we would raise so much for the hospice xx **

This site is a tribute to my darling wife, Danielle. She was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside and was dearly loved.

In November 2019, aged 46 and with virtually no symptoms, Danielle was diagnosed with stage 4C cancer. The disease had already spread extensively but she was fit and active right up until end of October when we enjoyed walking in the Welsh hills, zipwiring and she was swimming 2km at the gym.

Unfortunately, despite being treated at the excellent Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton, the disease didn't respond to the chemotherapy and whilst a new drug in March made progress, this was a battle Danielle couldn't win.

For those of you who knew or met Danielle, she was always delighted to see her friends and would greet everybody with her lovely smile. Despite the negative outlook we were given right from the start, she never lost her smile and during her 8 month battle she remained positive, cheerful and continued to help organise the lives of our two sons.

When you get a cancer diagnosis your world becomes much smaller in terms of where you can go, what you can do and the time you have available. You start to value everything differently and no longer take simple things in life for granted.

Rather than inviting flowers we are supporting Richard House Hospice in East London. Danielle was 46 and had a great life but cancer affects children too which I saw too often whilst visiting the Royal Marsden Hospital.

I can't imagine what the parents and children go through but do know the facilities and support they receive from the amazing people at Richard House Hospice is of immense comfort, help and support.

A financial contribution to them makes a huge difference and allows them to continue their invaluable work.
